A ringing phone is urgent in the sense that you might miss the call. But that doesn't make answering it important. Planting a seed (physically or metaphorically) will never be urgent, but it's a necessity for growth.

Some rush from one emergency to the next. Successful athletes, artists, businesspeople, and parents tend to spend the most time on things that are most important but not urgent.

Reliability attracts opportunity. Humans are wired to avoid risk, so when you consistently show up, follow through, and keep your word, you gain a reputation for being trustworthy.

In business and in life, trust becomes an asset that you can trade on.

St. Francis Prayer encourages us to differentiate between what we can and can't change.

At some point we have to stop trying to calm the storm and calm ourselves instead. Most storms will pass.
